Scott Pilgrim

Ok, it's not as if I suddenly stopped reading. Actually I read a lot since I posted last. In fact, reading was what kept me alive during the hard time my final exams were giving me. But I just didn't had time between studying, reading, complaining about live, more studying, sports to train my arm for the exams, more studying, exams for two weeks, moving to another city, ....Let's just stop this here. You got the point. I didn't had time. But since we have few followers anyway I guess nobody realized. Most people find us by a google hit on the book they want to read. So I gues is how you, dear reader, just came here, too.

Ok, enough of boring blabla about life. Let's talk about the important stuff.

Scott Pilgrim

Scott Pilgrim is a comic by Bryan Lee O'Malley. Now it's although a movie. What it wasn't when i read it. I would suggest to read the comics first. Then wait a good month, maybe two, and THEN watch the movie. Otherwise you won't be able to truely enjoy one or the other.

So Who Is This Scott Pilgrim Person Anyway?

The official text from the official website says:

Scott Pilgrim is 23 years old, living in the big city with his gay roommate, just trying to get by in this crazy world. He's in a band. He's lazy. He likes video games.
Scott Pilgrim likes the new girl in town, Ramona Flowers, but to win her heart, he has to defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends.

But that doesn't even come close to it. The comic is just so damn amazing. And I just don't know how to tell you how amazing it is without telling you too much.

So this is Scott. Main character and kind of a looser. but on the other hand not. I mean he is just such a normal random guy. He is not having a job (he says he is between two jobs, but tha's just a lam excuse). And he is in trouble with his love-life since his last relationship with Envy Adams (but we don't says the "E" word when Scott is near-by) ended. He thinks that nothing bad ever happening to him was his fault, but i fact....well...maybe it was not directly his fault....And the he falls in Love with

Ramona Flowers. The cool new girl in town. And she is like so magical to him (and to the readerbecause suprisingly she can travel through special tunnels in time and space that some of them go through Scott's head). And he tries to get her and it's just so ridiculous because she is so cool and well...he....mmmh...well he is Scott. And the there are her 7 evil Exes. So great. Every single one of them. You will love them! And Scott has to fight them. But the foghts are not any kind of really cool or serious. It's just...Ninja-Super-Power-magic-Computergame-Nonsense-Amazingness. Yepp. Right like this. I mean they EXPLODE into .... mmmh.... no I won't tell you.

Whatever. So, then there is
Wallace. Scott's kind of best friend and his flatmate. Honestly, if you have friends like him, you don't need enemies anymore. But ...well...I guess when you are Scott this is kind of the best you can get. And for the reader anyway it's so much fun to see how he talks to Scott.

And then there is: The band Sex Bob-Omb. With the Guitar Grips in the Comic so you can learn to play!!! ANd with the best texts and band attitude ever! Get the movie soundtrack!


Well, and then there are soooooooooooooooooooooooo many others. But it would really spoil it. honestly. Just read it. Even if you think, that comics are for kids. Just start reading it! Read it! Common! Leave! I don't want to see you here anymore! GO! READ THE F***ING COMIC!
